"Take Five" by Paul Desmond October 17, 2009 "Konzert zur Kirchweih" Written for the "Dave Brubeck Quartet" by saxophonist Paul Desmond in 1959, "Take Five" is one of the most famous standards in jazz now. This version had to fit a rather "classical" concert. So we combined a clear alto sound with slower tempo.
